Dust off your prom dress and bust out the hairspray all to benefit FARA. We’ll have a live DJ busting out 80’s songs from synth to deep alternative tracks. Beer pong, spike punch and a romantic rickshaw ride will make this event way better than prom ever was. Cheesy 80’s look optional but highly encouraged… Jocks, Dweebs, Heathers, Punks and all other cliques are invited.

RideAtaxia NorCal is coming up on June 1st in Davis, CA. Last year Team Izzy raised an amazing $9,500 for Friedreich’s Ataxia research! This has been a very exciting year for the FA community. FARA is anticipating three drug trials to start this year! So let’s keep the momentum going and raise even more funds this year. That’s right the Angels are back at it! Join Izzy’s Angels for an evening of food, wine and homegrown rock on June 9, 2012. Come dressed in your finest 70’s/80’s fashion. We’ll sing we’ll dance, we’ll rock out to Alameda’s best dad bands: Old Stock, For the Girl, and Old Coal. How could it possibly get any better than this? Not only will it be a great time, we’ll be raising much needed funds to help cure Friedreich’s Ataxia.

Help cure this disease that affects one in 50,000 Americans. Help cure our Izzy. There is a place for you in the solution: Bring your fun self and believe that FARA and the FA scientific community can find a cure. Good times never felt so good.

Last year, just a few weeks after Izzy’s diagnosis she put together a bake sale in our front yard to raise money for FA research. She raised $280 in just a couple hours. She asked me if we could do it again this year. The date is set for Saturday 8/20 from 1:00-4:00 in our front yard! 1719 Pearl Street Alameda, CA. Please come by and show Izzy your support. Thanks!
